Product Description

This baby alpaca shawl was handwoven in the village of Rumira Sondormayo in nearly 4,000 m hight. It features designs like alpacas, Spanish ships, stars, flowers and lakes representing Andean history and the natural world around the weaver.

Salcantay, is the highest peak of the Vilcabamba mountain range in the Peruvian Andes. It is located  about 60 km (40 mi) west-northwest of the city of Cusco. The name Salkantay is from sallqa, a Quechua word meaning wild, uncivilized, savage, or invincible.
